Today, we have furthered our knowledge of air resistance by looking at how we could make certain objects streamline and aerodynamic.
To test our theories, we made paper aeroplanes that we then raced. We hypothesised that the thinner and longer the aeroplane, then the further and faster it would travel.
We made sure the test was fair by using an A4 sheet of paper to make the aeroplanes so they were all the same weight. We also threw our planes from the same spot. To make it fairer, it should have been the same person throwing every aeroplane but we decided that that decided sound as fun!
At the end, Eleanor’s travelled the furthest and it was a long, thin design! Well done!
Next stop, air pressure and rockets!!
