Welcome
to Chestnut (Year 2)

Miss Ryan
Meet your teacher
Hello and ¡Hola! My name is Miss Ryan and I’m so excited to be your Year 2 teacher this year! This will be my very first year at Brinsworth Whitehill Primary, and I cannot wait to meet you all. I have been teaching for 10 years, and I spent the last 7 years teaching in Spain — so I hope to bring a little bit of sunshine with me!
I absolutely love teaching, especially in KS1, where children grow and change every day. Seeing them master new skills like tying their shoelaces, solving tricky maths problems, or overcoming a personal challenge is the very best part of my job!
I believe school should feel like a big adventure, where everyone feels safe, happy, and excited to learn. Our classroom will be full of engaging learning activities, magical stories, and plenty of celebrations for everyone’s achievements and individuality!
Outside of school, I love going for walks in the Yorkshire countryside, spending time with my family and friends, and enjoying a cup of tea with a delicious slice of cake. I’m really looking forward to a wonderful year together — let’s make lots of happy memories!
