Maths in Chestnut Class

This week, Mrs Sharp’s Maths group have had a wonderful time learning to use counters to create arrays. They were able to solve multiplication problems using the arrays, and created their own arrays for their partner to solve. Well done everyone! #WeWorkHard

Y3/4 Creswell Crags Trip

This week, Y3/4 have been on a trip to Creswell Crags. They had a fantastic time, visiting a cave, holding artifacts, and building shelters. The children also took on the role of a Paleontologist, where they recreated animal skeletons. Y2 Reading Buddies

Coding in Y1

This week, Blossom Class had their first lesson on coding, using Scratch Junior. They tinkered with the app and successfully edited the game, changing the characters and backgrounds. The children were also able to program their character to move.  Amazing work, well done Y1! #WeAreEquippedToLearn

Information Texts in Y2

This week, Miss Hollingworth’s Literacy class have been exploring information texts. Today, they turned into teachers, and marked against their checklist, working super hard to spot the different features. They also had lots of interesting discussions in the classroom, and did a fantastic job. Well done everyone! #WeWorkHard

Y4 TT Rockstars Challenge!

On Monday, this Y4 superstar won the TT Rockstars challenge in assembly. She has showed everyone how amazing she is at times tables, and should be extremely proud of herself. Well done! #WeWorkHard

Y3 Literacy Superstars!

This term, Y3 have started studying the non-fiction text, ‘My Little Book of Weather’ in their Literacy lessons. Today, in order to introduce the new vocabulary, the children all had a go at being weather forecasters. Great work, well done everyone! #WeWorkHard #WeAreAlwaysLearning
