Welcome Miss Roddick!

This week we have a new member of the class. Miss Roddick is a student teacher and will be teaching and working with us until the Easter holidays. We hope that she enjoys being with us and finding out lots about food from around the world.

Money, money, money…

In maths we have been learning about money. First we were identifying all of the different coins. Then we were making different amounts of money with the least coins. After we did some calculation sums with money. Next we did column addition and finding the change. we all really enjoyed our maths.

Axis and Allies

Last week class 5C did some geography on which countries took part in WW2. We were given atlases and blank maps of the world, from there we had to code and colour which countries were Axis and which were Allies.

World War 2

This week in class 5M we have been learning about World War 2 also known as WW2. We have written evacuee diary extras independently. Spaghetti! It’s wonderful!

This week we have been writing our own poetry about spaghetti! We looked at cooked spaghetti and used all of our senses to describe it. We thought of adjectives about smelling,looking,tasting,feeling and hearing. Look out for our poetry display in our classroom.
