The Cost of Crime!

In Miss Henson’s class, we have been looking at crime and punishment in Anglo-Saxon times. We looked at Wergild. This was the monetary value to be paid in compensation for different body parts if you were attacked. We used post-it notes to work out the cost for each crime!

Y5/6 Shading Techniques

Children in Y5/6 used hatching, cross-hatching, stippling, and blending to create lightness and darkness of tone. Miss Beaty was very impressed with the children’s efforts!    

Y3/4H WW2 Geography Afternoon

We had a great geography afternoon in Y3/4H today finding out about who the Axis and Allied powers were during WW2. We used an atlas to find out where these countries are in the world and then made our own key to identify and shade them in on a map of our own.
