Y1 have had a fantastic time in Science, exploring the properties of materials and their suitability for making a boat. They made predictions before working in teams to design and create their boats, and then tested how well they worked.
Materials such as foil, paper, card, and plastic were used. The children used scientific vocabulary to explain their choices, demonstrating a clear understanding of the properties of each material.
