KS1 were so excited to print in art! The children explored the culture of Brazil and its iconic images and symbols.
They drew outlines of the images using techniques previously learnt, then transferred this image by ‘etching’ out on a polyblock. After selecting colours and adding tint and tone, the children created their repeated prints.
This is a new technique to KS1 and the children were resilient and enjoyed learning new skills ready to take to KS2.
