STEM

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

Science and mathematics have always been valued subjects at Brinsworth Whitehill Primary school and one of our curriculum priorities is to develop engineering, computing and technology as part of that curriculum. Where possible, we reach outside the classroom to enhance our work through links with the real world and we recently had a STEM fayre and worked with Yorkshire Bank to explore real world experiences.

STEM clubs are a powerful and enjoyable way to engage young people with science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Children get to carry out hands on activities and learn fast! This year we are building up our offer of exciting and inspiring activities to ignite an interest in STEM.
