Yesterday afternoon, Elm Class took their Science learning outdoors as they explored the fascinating concept of air resistance. The children began by making thoughtful predictions about what might make an object travel more slowly when dropped from a height, before considering what factors could help something move faster – including the idea of streamlining.
To put their ideas to the test, the class took part in a fun and competitive challenge – designing and creating paper aeroplanes. Each group experimented with different shapes, folds, and designs to see which one could travel the furthest. The children showed fantastic teamwork and enthusiasm as they tested their creations outside, watching science in action.
Well done, Elm Class!
