Before half term, KS1 began learning all about fractions, focusing on recognising and finding halves and quarters of shapes. The children applied their new knowledge in a fun and practical way by making jam sandwiches and carefully cutting them into halves and quarters independently. This hands-on activity helped them understand the importance of sharing equally and recognising equal parts when working with fractions.
