Well done to the Brinsworth students who recently put in some amazing performances against the other schools, in the School Games Girls and Boys 7 a side Hockey Competitions. These were both “Compete” events, and therefore there was an expectation that teams had been given substantial input before the event to allow a high standard of competition – which indeed it was!
Thirty enthusiastic schools took part across both competitions, which consisted of a morning and afternoon tournament held on separate days to accommodate the maximum number of schools. Brinsworth demonstrated sound knowledge of the rules and more importantly, fantastic teamwork throughout the round robin tournaments.
A huge congratulations to the Brinsworth Whitehill boys team, who finished as runners up and will now go on to represent Rotherham in the South Yorkshire round at Hill House School!
