It’s been a very exciting and challenging week for all our students who have been learning about a lot of things from the meaning of Remembrance Day to what Diwali is all about.
Let’s take a look at what each class has been up to!
Foundation Stage:
The children in F1 painted some beautiful poppies to show their respect for Remembrance Day.
Children in F2 have been very busy learning about Diwali, they have created some diva lamps and used their 2D shape knowledge to create rangoli patterns
FS1 and FS2 celebrated bonfire night!
F2 have loved wearing non uniform and learning about Children in Need!
Year 1:
We had a fabulous lesson learning how to weave just as the Vikings did. They used images of the ocean and a Viking longship to make their own design. Well done everyone!
A great morning in Mrs Hanson’s SFA group researching and creating a timeline on Edith Cavell. She is our significant person from WWI and we used this information to write her biography this week. 3/4S were placed into two teams and took part in a debate about Edith Cavell’s actions. It was a very interesting afternoon!
What a great week, well done everyone!
