Weekly Update – WC 14th October

We sketched her, talked about our first impressions and how these have changed when we read about her. We know she was very poor when she was younger. The children have each written a diary entry of her escape. F1 loved having Emma from Music Bugs coming to visit today, we had so much fun singing and dancing. We even learned some new songs too!

Today in Y4SH we started blending water colours to try to recreate a scene from the Hindu Festival of Holi in our RE time.

For Black History Week, 1/2H have been learning about Rosa Parks. In celebration assembly, we shared our work and what we had learnt this week.

For Black History week Foundation Stage children have been learning about Mo Farah. They ran a long distance race to see how Mo would feel.  Children in F1 went on a fact hunt and pieced the jigsaw together to discover who the facts were about. We have learned so many fascinating facts about Mo Farah this week!

We all tried Baby Bears porridge today and it was JUST RIGHT!!!

Goldilocks phoned the children in F2. She wanted all the children to write a letter to the Three Bears to say how sorry she was for eating Baby Bears porridge.
