Fun with fractions!

This week we have been learning about fractions. We looked at equivalent fractions and had great fun making our own fraction wall out of paper.

Numbers Day

Some children from Year 5 and 6 attended Rawmarsh Community School with other children from the Trust. They took part in a variety of different maths activities and had a great time beating the teachers.
Chinese Food!
We prepared and ate some delicious Chinese food. The children enjoyed prawn crackers, noodles, rice and stir fry.
Chinese New Year
This week, the children have enjoyed learning about the Chinese New Year. Our activities have included writing wishes, making lanterns, creating a Chinese dragon and eating Chinese food.

Special Visitors

This week we have been so lucky in Foundation 1, we’ve had lots of lovely new friends to come and say hello. We looked at the different coverings of our friends like feathers, fur and shells. We loved having Sock, Chip, Bob and Robin in our class and we really hope they come again soon.
Meeting the Mayor

Today, the school council were invited to meet the Mayor of Rotherham. We took a tour around the Town Hall and learnt about the life of the Mayor. What an honour. We hope the Mayor can come to our school soon.
