Keeping warm in the cold…

In PE this term, we have been focusing on team ball games. Despite the cold, we kept ourselves warm by making sure we were always moving. The game we have been playing is very similar to bench ball but without the bench and a lot more moving around!

Busy Busy Busy
The weather won’t stop our fun in Foundation 1! We’ve loved looking at all the people who help us at home, school and the community. Enjoying all the lovely autumnal colours outside and creating animals exploring all the different textures in our mark making area. What a lovely week we’ve all had.
What sound do you hear?

This week we have been learning about pitch. The children listened to different sounds and we discussed what makes a low pitch and what makes a high pitch. We experimented using glasses with water and made our own music, comparing the pitch of each glass.

Shape Street

We are learning about 2D and 3D shapes. To link with our road safety learning, we looked at road signs, designed our own road sign and today we built our own 3D shape street. We talked about the properties of 3D shapes are named our sphere, Sophia!

Back to School!
We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents that attended the reading/phonics meeting today. The parents learnt a lot about phonics and how children learn to read. We know that the children are very proud of their Mummies and Daddies!
Project Llama
