Welcome

to Elm (Year 3/4)

Mrs Hanson

Mrs Cobb

Meet your teachers

I’m Mrs Hanson and I will be your teacher in Elm class on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays – some of you know me well already! I’m a very creative person and enjoy reading, writing and design. I am an avid reader and get lots of imaginative ideas from what I read. I like having fun
and making learning exciting. I am passionate about teaching writing and maths to junior children and love seeing the ‘light bulb’ moment when you all start to understand and be excited by new things. It will be great to start learning all about each other and for me to help you along on your learning journey. Outside of school I love football and have a season ticket for my
favourite team. I love to go to the theatre, cinema and having meals out with friends. I also enjoy spending time with my own children at the beach and the pool in the sunshine and in
the mud of the woods in Autumn.

I am Mrs Cobb and I will be your teacher on a Thursday and Friday. I love teaching and I strive to bring creativity and fun into my lessons. I particularly like teaching literacy whereby we can delve into a new book and surround ourselves with a wealth of new vocabulary and exciting language. Be prepared to put on your ‘drama hats’ as we act out famous stories and transport ourselves to magical lands.

I also look forward to developing your curiosity and love of learning as we become scientists, mathematicians, historians, artists and much, much more. Outside of school, I enjoy spending
time with my young family. We love getting muddy and making discoveries on our outdoor adventures. On rainy days, time is spent getting messy and creative inside instead. I also love drawing in my spare time, and I really hope to take up pottery in the future too! I can’t wait to find out about you and your interests.

Meet your Teaching Assistants

Mrs Douglas

Hello everyone, my name is Mrs Douglas. I am really looking forward to
getting to know you all and hear about what you’ve all been up to over the summer. I am a bubbly person, who loves arts, crafts and all things creative. I also like to listen to music and dance to anything with a beat. I’m a fan of fun facts and love to learn new things. I feel passionate about helping others to achieve their goals. If I can help you succeed and be the best you can be and do it all with a smile on your face, then I know I’m winning! I am married and have two teenage boys and two fur babies Koby andMurph. I love to spend time with all my boys, making memories and going on holidays.
