In 3/4K we have had a great week putting together our performance for the Harvest Festival. The story of Persephone and Demeter is a Greek Myth about how the seasons came to the world. Check out our glorious Gods, noble Narrators and marvellous Mortals!
Last week, we learnt all about Harvest. We tasted fruits and vegetables and made Sam the scarecrow. Our experiences allowed us to produce lots of descriptive writing. This week, we are going to use Sam the scarecrow as a stimulus for our story writing.
As part of mental health awareness week, 1/2H talked about the importance of keeping your body and mind healthy. We took part in a number of activities to help us relax and keep our minds calm.
In Y2P, we have been thinking about how we can look after ourselves and stay calm. We listed things that made us feel happy, angry and calm and even had a go at some yoga!
Today in F1 we have been identifying how we feel and using sentences to express this and tell other people. One child said “I feel worried today because I’ve got to go to the doctors.” We thought about ways we could make each other feel happy.
3S have been thinking about how to stay calm and what to do if we feel upset about something. We had a big discussion during circle time and then had a go at some meditation.
