This week in 6R/6K we have been practising the ring’o’ring’o’roses song as we will be creating a movie about our topic in the near future. We are looking forward to our visit to Eyam as our topic is about the Great Plague which spread to the village of Eyam. The reason we have been filming ring’o’ring’o’roses is because the nursery rhyme is believed to be linked to The Great Plague. People who lived in the time of The Great Plague (1664-1666) thought of many weird methods to try and cure the plague such as holding a bunch of herbs and flowers under their nose.
