Week 4-Class 3LB had a hoot!
Bob came to our school and bought with him some beautiful owl friends that included Archie the Barn owl, Ronnie the African Eagle owl and Gizmo a White Faced Scops owl.
The children had the opportunity to see these magnificent and unusual birds in action, flying as near as possible to how they would in the wild. Some children also had the opportunity to handle a bird and we all learnt lots of interesting information about the birds and how they are trained and looked after.
The owl day was the catalyst for some fantastic original and spontaneous work!
