Oak Class Mathematicians

Miss Beevers’ Maths group have been working hard this week adding and subtracting large numbers. They have created their own sums and compared them using their prior knowledge of greater than, less than and equal to symbols.

Budding Scientists

We have some budding Scientists in Elm class. We carried out an investigation thinking about friction as we sent a car down a ramp with different surfaces. All children really enjoyed seeing which surface sent the car down the quickest and made some brilliant predictions using their scientific knowledge.

Chestnut Class History Learning

Chestnut class had a lovely afternoon examining sources in History. They thought about who was in the image and what they were doing, before sharing their discoveries with the class.

Seasonal changes with Foundation Stage

Our Foundation Stage children have been learning all about seasonal changes this week. They have been on a walk around our school grounds looking for signs of Autumn. 

Elm Class Clay Work

Some great clay skills this week in Elm class! We have had our first try at making shapes and using tools to manipulate clay before making our Anglo Saxon mask designs.

Girls Football Practice

The girls have been focusing on dribbling and passing this week in after school club.  Great teamwork everyone!

After School Club Autumn Photography

Children had lots of fun creating ‘Autumn style’ photos in their Photography after school club. They thought carefully about colour, shapes, light and shadow.
