Brinsworth Academy

On Thursday, 18th February class 5C and 5M visited Brinsworth Academy.  We visited for an educational day of Science, Tchnology, Engineering and Maths a.k.a S.T.E.M.  We did lots of fun activities like Robotic Rumble, Wind Turbines, Practical Physics, Circuit Boards and Innovative Designs.

BUILD YOUR OWN ANDERSON SHELTER

This week we have been looking at our Anderson shelter projects, that we have been making over the past weeks, at home. From cardboard designs to labeled drawings, we have enjoyed making our own unique air raid shelters, to keep us safe from the blitz. On Thursday we looked at our class and 6R’s projects.

Year 2 meeting

Happy Chinese New Year!

In Key Stage 1 this week we have been learning about Chinese New Year. Each class has made special masks and we shared these masks with everybody in our Friday assembly. We learnt how to say Happy New Year in Chinese…’Gung Hay Fat Choy’ everybody!

Today we celebrated Chinese New Year. We enjoyed using different materials to make masks, we tasted some delicious Chinese food and in P.E. we listened to Chinese music and practised a dragon dance.      

National Wear Red Day 2016

On Friday we came to school dressed in red. We hope we have raised lots of money for The British Heart Foundation. We thought everybody looked fantastic!
