Y3/4 Celebrate International Women’s Day

Year 3/4 played their part in International Women’s Day by talking about all the women in their life and who have changed the world. They designed awards for those who inspired them the most.

Remembrance day: Remembering Edith Cavell

In history, Willow Class looked at propaganda posters and images of Edith Cavell. We then explored the questions: – What do they tell us about her? – Are the sources all reliable? After that, we used the sources and information given to answer enquiry questions.

Musicial Superstars!

Children in Y3-4 learnt to play the 12-bar blues chord progression as an instrumental solo in the song they have been learning called the Moanin’ Lisa Blues from the Simpsons. What superstars!

Cherry blossom DT Class

Cherry blossom class have been sawing wood and creating their frames ready for making a greenhouse in DT this week. They have been using bench hooks and saws. Keep an eye out for the finished product!

Cherry Blossom Learn About Circuits

Cherry Blossom enjoyed making circuits using the snap circuit kits this afternoon. They had to investigate whether they could make a buzzer and a motor work in their circuit. ⚡️

Y3/4 Gymnastics

The Y3/4 children really enjoyed their visit to the Gymnastics Festivals in collaboration with Phoenix Gymnastics Academy. 🤸🏻

Children in Y3/4 have been learning about call and response within Jazz music, improvising our own responses to ‘Oh When the Saints.’

Y3/4 Visit Eyam

Y3/4 had a wonderful time at Eyam today. They visited the church and were told about how the plague impacted the village, visited the museum, and completed a village trail.
